As we embrace a new month, we celebrate Women’s History Month by honoring the women who have shaped my life, real estate, architecture, and development. My mother, grandmother, aunt, and all of my amazing friends and peers. Visionaries like Norma Merrick Sklarek, the first Black woman licensed as an architect in both New York and California, Beverly Loraine Greene, the first Black woman licensed as an architect in the U.S., and A. Denée Reaves, a modern leader in equitable urban planning, have paved the way for a more inclusive and transformative built environment.

March arrives with a mix of economic shifts and uncertainty. Interest rates fell for the seventh consecutive week, offering some relief to buyers, while stock markets experienced two weeks of significant declines. Consumer confidence took a hit in February, with declines across all age, income, and wealth groups amid growing concerns over personal finances and broader economic conditions. Meanwhile, national and global politics remain highly unpredictable, adding to the uncertainty in financial and real estate markets. As we navigate these changes, staying informed and strategic is key to making the most of emerging opportunities. |
